SPECIALIZING IN EAST GERMAN BLOODLINES 

We are a small hobby kennel that have been breeding and showing dogs in the show ring, not only winning Best In Show with dogs we have bought and conditioned from other breeders, but winning Best In Show with dogs we have produced ourselves. We have been doing this for fourteen years, with all three of our children growing up in the show ring and winning showmanship awards and handling dogs to BIS. We have also produced puppies that have been sold and trained for Search and Rescue, tracking, assistance, agility and personal protection.  

Sometime back, we became interested in the DDR line of German Shepherds as they so closely reminded me of what my parents had raised when I was a kid and growing up. We changed our kennel name to reflect our new direction and it is our goal to show that conformation titled DDR dogs CAN work by gradually earning working titles rather than sport titles.  It will just take a little longer now as our kids are grown it is only me doing all the work!

We concentrate on doing breedings that we feel will best compliment the two dogs being bred and the breed as a whole, taking into consideration, size, drive, conformation, movement and above all else, health and temperament. Although our dogs may or may not be SchH titled or have working titles yet, we strive to produce the total German Shepherd puppy for ourselves and for others, that will be healthy and make a wonderful companion, working or breeding prospect, regardless of what titles the parents may or may not have.  We are very concerned with breeding for health, temperament and working ability and to promote such within the breed.

We also have several young dogs waiting to enter our breeding program and as they pass their x-rays and testings, they will be added to the website.

We welcome AND encourage visits - with notification though please - to insure that we are at home!

 

Health Testing & X-rays

We only breed dogs with passing hip and elbow certifications.  We have been doing health testing, such as thyroid and cardiac for 10 years on our own dogs, all in an effort to produce healthy, happy and sound puppies.  We also provide a written guarantee on our puppies.

None are planned at this time, however, we can recommend some very good breeders if you are looking for a puppy
